This season for inter school sports, both netball teams were able to make it to the Templestowe District grand finals. Throughout the season both teams have exhibited teamwork and learnt so much in both skills and how to play as a team.
Some had to learn how to play netball from scratch, others continuing to play after a number of years, while others had to transition from basketball to netball (and trust me, it's hard). The Netball B team has come a long way and have showed optimism all throughout the season. From defenders to attackers we played to our best ability. Sara became a great goal keeper for our team, Lily.C always getting our intercepts, Lilly.S and Alivia are great shooters, in both ends of the goals Amy had done really well, Chelsea as our great centre and Lana and Hayley have been awesome wings. As for the A team, we put all of our effort in from day one and the girls have come so far and learned so much just like the B team. Jazz learnt how to defend from three feet, Chanel learnt how to contact with purpose, Annie was quick to adapt to a new team, Emily learnt how to play WA and Ruby P learnt how to play goal keeper. Our wings, Ashley, Julia and Sarah, all played amazingly in every single game. Last but not least Claudia and Miss Mitchell. Claudia was our only rep player, and she was absolutely spectacular in all games. Fantabulous. Then Miss Mitchell, now Miss Mitchell had to deal with both teams and being ref in every game. There is no way to thank her enough for her expertise and her support through the whole season. Thank you. At our Grand Final, both A and B teams had a great game against St Clements but unfortunately didn't make it out on top but we were extremely proud of ourselves for making it this far. We had won every game accept for our first and last ones and we think that's and awesome effort. Congratulations to everyone who played. We hope you guys continue with netball. Solid effort!
