Today the TPPS Swim Team participated in the Templestowe District Swimming Carnival. It was a fun day in the sun for all students, competing in a series of 50m and relay events. All students should be very proud of their efforts, with all students swimming to the best of their abilities and many taking home ribbons. Congratulations to the following students who won their event and will be representing TPPS at the Manningham Division Swimming Carnival on Monday 5th March: Alex Chang: 50m Breastroke and Freestyle Relay Abraham Lin: 50m Backstroke and Freestyle Relay Max Van Den Hout: Freestyle Relay Matt King: Freestyle Relay
Today Prep students started their PMP Program, which will be running for the rest of the term. In the PMP program, students will complete a range of activities that will help develop their hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, balance and body control. the Preppies had a great first session and are looking forward to next week!
Today, all students in Grade 4-6 participated in the 2018 TPPS House Swimming Carnival. It was a fun day for all involved, with students swimming in a variety of 50m, 25m and novelty events to earn points for their house. the lead changed throughout the day, however Chivers ended the day on top for the second year in a row. The culmination of the event was a hotly contested 6 x 50m student vs teacher relay, with the students winning by the smallest of margins. Congratulations to all students for starting off the year on a fantastic note and good luck to all those students who have been chosen to represent the school at the Templestowe District Swimming Carnival on Friday 23rd February. |
