Today Cooper E (6L) played in the SSV Primary School Tennis Championships. The championships were held at Booroondara Tennis Complex and consisted of the sixteen best primary school tennis players in Victoria. To earn a place in these championships, Cooper had to win the district, division and regional tournaments, therefore, making it to this stage is an amazing achievement.
The tournament was made up of four pools of four competitors, with the winner of each pool making their way to the knock out rounds. Cooper started strongly, going through his pool undefeated and earning a place in the semi-finals. In his Semi-Final, he continued his stellar form defeating his opponent 8-2. Finally, Cooper played in the Victorian State Final, unfortunately being outmuscled 8-4 in a high quality match. Congratulations Cooper, we couldn't be prouder of your achievements. Templestowe Park is officially the home of the second best tennis player in Victorian primary schools!
