This week students in grades Prep to Grade 2 participated in football clinics ran by Templestowe Junior Football Club. The students had a fun time practising a variety of ball handling, handballing and kicking skills. If you would like your child to participate in Auskick in 2018, please do not hesitate to contact the football club.

Today Templestowe Park participated in the Templestowe District Tennis Championships, held at Serpell Tennis Club. The boys competed first in the morning, with Hugh C (6L), Josh M (5K) and Eran D (5T) taking the court. All boys competed well in the Group Stage, with Josh and Eran progressing through to the three player round-robin to determine the winner of the day. The final result was a tight one, with Josh finishing in second place and Eran in third. After the boys' success, it now time for the girls, with Elefteria L (6L) and Jaymie S (6M) representing TPPS. Both played well in the group stages and won their way through to the semi-finals where they faced each other. Elefteria's fine form continued throughout the day, taking out the girls tournament.
Congratulations to all students on a successful today. For placing in the top two, both Josh and Elefteria have earned a place at the Manningham Division Tennis Championships to be played later in the term. Over the past few weeks, TPPS students in Grades 1 and 2 have been participating in an intensive swimming program at Aquarena. Students have learned a variety of swimming skills, including water safety. Next week, Grade 3 students will be commencing their swimming program.
Today the TPPS Swim Team participated in the Templestowe District Swimming Carnival. It was a fun day in the sun for all students, competing in a series of 50m and relay events. All students should be very proud of their efforts, with all students swimming to the best of their abilities and many taking home ribbons. Today Prep students started their PMP Program, which will be running for the rest of the term. In the PMP program, students will complete a range of activities that will help develop their hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, balance and body control. the Preppies had a great first session and are looking forward to next week!
